Annette von Droste-Hülshoff, a native of the Münsterland and more or less a »super poet« of the Biedermeier period, was connected to the Sauerland through visits to relatives near Olsberg and to the listed Rödinghausen estate in Menden. In the industrial museum located there, the artists Sonja Heller, Jeannette Obst and Anno Weihs showed in a varied exhibition what they found between the words and stories of the poet and how they see Annette von Droste-Hülshoff as a person.
